Cecilia “Ceci” Clark, MSc
Ceci Clark has worked as a Mental Performance Coach for the Cleveland Indians since 2014. Her background is applied sport psychology and physiology.
Ceci received her B.A. from Bates College in Maine. She then went on to attend the University of Wales, Bangor. At Bangor she received her MSc in Applied Sport and Exercise Science. Ceci’s work at the University of Wales, Bangor focused mostly on Transformational Leadership Behaviors and its effects on role function within a team.
As a mental performance coach for the Indians Ceci has assisted players and staff at the Major League and AAA levels of the organization in the continued development to enhance performance and mental and emotional development. She works closely with organizational coaches, coordinators, strength and conditioning personnel, athletic trainers, and front office staff to integrate mental skills into assessment and training plans for players, teams and programs.
Ceci previously worked for the United States Army for six years from 2008-14, working for the Special Warfare Center and School, primarily with Special Forces soldiers, and was the “Head of Performance” for the Special Operations Cognitive Enhancement Program (SOCEP). While Ceci enjoyed all aspects of her work with SOCEP, her passion and area of expertise is working with Soldiers on the application of performance psychology techniques in the field.
